Pembangunan monorel Rancakekek-Tanjungsari, ditolak.
Rencana pemerintah untuk mengaktifkan jalur monorel Rancaekek-Tanjungsari, dipastikan tak akan berjalan mulus. Pasalnya, ada sekitar 299 kepala keluarga (KK), yang saat ini menempati lahan bekas jalur kereta api milik PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) ini.
Sekretaris Komisi C DPRD Sumedang, Dadang Rohmawan, salahsatunya yang menolak rencana pembangunan monorel tersebut, karena tidak efektif dalam mengurai kemacetan di Jatinangor dan Tanjungsari.
“Status tanah yang diklaim milik PT KAI adalah milik masyarakat, yang dikuasai penjajah pada tempo dulu, ” kata Dadang.
Ia berharap Pemerintah Provinsi untuk membatalkan rencana pembangunan monorel tersebut. Dadang juga mengaku kecewa terhadap pihak PT KAI yang melakukan pendataan warga yang menempati jalur SS, karena tidak melibatkan Muspika Jatinangor selaku pemilik wilayah.***
